"Amen! We're Done!"

So Daryl left for Amsterdam on Saturday morning, and the one thing that is the most stressful for me while he is gone is going to church.  Emma has really become a great kid during sacrament meeting, but Gabe is another story.  It's usually like a WWF match and usually Daryl takes care of it. Which I am so very appreciative.  Yesterday was a special day because two of the young men who've been such a huge part of our lives  spoke.  One is leaving to Argentina and one was coming home from Argentina.  So I really wanted to listen to their talks.  During Ryan's talk Gabe was pretty good.  But when Ryan said Amen at the end of his talk Gabe yells out (he has no volume control) AMEN! WE'RE DONE! Needless to say most people in the chapel started laughing.

This comes after three weeks ago when I was wheelchair bound at church, Gabe got away from Daryl and ran up the isle with Daryl trying to reverently speed walk.  Gabe continued up onto the podium and across the choir seats to the other side.  Luckily one of Daryl's deacons was sitting there and stopped Gabe.  Again everyone laughed as Daryl and the delinquent went out the side door.  What can I say we provide entertainment at church.  But we really are working on these things everyday! Oh the joys of parenthood.

That is s great, I can just see Daryl calmly walking with a smile to reach the running child. The boy takes after his dad. Darly was a bit on the busy side when I first meet him several years ago!
Love to you all!

lol, that's how I feel sometimes, AMEN! We're done! Our ward is small and super quiet and just this Sunday our Bishop was saying we hadn't done a very good job coming in reverent (Sac. meeting last ) and the Stake Pres. is coming next week with reverence as the topic- while he is telling us this Aly is pretty much shouting, "I need-a a snack!" " I wanna my snack!"...It's so loud when she is the ONLY child making a sound. I wanted to crawl under the pew. At least your ward seems to have a sense of humor!

I have a little guy named Eli, and one of the toddlers in the ward just learned the song "Old MacDonald." Well, he saw Eli and started singing, "Eli-Eli-O."

Good luck to you, we are still working on it, and my youngest is four.

Casey,
your story reminded me of my oldest son David Scott, when he was just 3 years old. He was misbehaving in church, so his dad threw him over his shoulder to take him out, when David Scott let out a yell, with arms stretched towards the podium: "HEPP ME BISSOP!"

You better tell Daryl to stay out that red light district in Amsterdam. They got all kinds of things there to temptation a man. He best be going to church when he get back.

Ugh, Wright Now, why you trying to kiss up? You didn't see Tristen Abbot the other day because he was with me shopping for lawn chairs up at the Kostco. Mind your own!
